MONICA CONWAY, BFA

Counseling Intern

If everyone's path was linear, we would have no dancing! One step forward, two steps back, now slide...right into my office - a safe and judgement-free space. Allow me to meet you right where you are. Life can be messy, overwhelming, and downright confusing at times. Whatever brought you here, you’re not alone—seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness. Through my own lived experience, I can understand how powerful the therapy process can be on both ends. My goal is to create space for you - your full, messy, beautiful self. Bonus: no need to be perfect here - crying, venting, bad puns, and even awkward silences are all welcome.

My integrative style draws from methods like Adlerian therapy, which helps us explore the relationships and experiences shaping your life, and Person-Centered Therapy, creating a supportive environment where you can feel truly heard and empowered.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I’ll adapt our work to fit what feels right for you. With my background as a visual artist, Expressive Arts techniques, like Sandtray Therapy, Play Therapy, Art, and Dance/Movement Therapy interventions may be utilized in sessions when words just aren't quite doing their job!

I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment where all identities are valued, respected, and supported. With warmth, compassion, and creativity, I’m here to help you choreograph this dance of life. No need to face it all alone—together, we’ll discover what’s holding you back, find your strengths, and take steps toward meaningful changes. It takes courage to dance the dance, and I am honored to be a part of your journey of self-discovery and personal growth. (No real dancing required in session!)

A Little About Me...

I used to think I had a lot of interests, but I have come to realize that my ultimate hobby is probably just collecting all of the hobbies! When I am not busy untangling yarn for my next crochet project (a self proclaimed Yarn Wizard here!), accidentally exercising by jumping on the trampoline with my kids, or scouring the thrift stores for my next treasure, you can find me combing the beach for rocks and shells, starting (but not likely finishing) another mixed media painting, or digging in the dirt! I love gardening, whether it is in my backyard or in Stardew Valley.

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling is where people come to solve problems, grow, and change their lives in the direction that they think is best for them and their families. When people are stuck and they don't know how to stop certain behaviors, counseling can provide the skills they need to get them where they want to go in life.
