MAGGIE PETERSON, MA, LMHCA

Contracting Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

Words can be hard! Finding the "right" ones or knowing where to start can be a struggle. My goal is to provide a therapeutic experience that goes beyond words.

I approach therapy with warmth and openness, meeting you exactly where you are—no judgment, just understanding and support. My priority is to tailor counseling sessions to meet the developmental, sensory, and emotional needs of each individual. As a clinician, I am guided by the principles of Child-Centered Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy. I have found that incorporating playfulness and creativity into sessions enables rich self-expression and processing to occur, with or without the use of words. I'm here to meet you where you are, especially when things feel too hard or painful to talk about.

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling is where people come to solve problems, grow, and change their lives in the direction that they think is best for them and their families. When people are stuck and they don't know how to stop certain behaviors, counseling can provide the skills they need to get them where they want to go in life.
