MAKENA ANDERSEN, BS

Counseling Intern

Hi, I’m Makena Andersen, a student intern counselor passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where you can feel safe, seen, and heard. I work with young adults and adults in the Vancouver, WA area—both in person and via telehealth—to help them work through anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions.

I especially love working with individuals who are discovering their voice and identity, often in the midst of big life shifts or emotional overwhelm. I believe that therapy is a space where we can partner together to explore what’s been holding you back and move toward the life you want.

A Little About Me...

Outside of counseling, you can usually find me out exploring waterfalls around the Pacific Northwest or curled up with a good book and my two cats. I love finding beauty in the quiet, everyday moments and continuing to learn both in and outside the therapy room.

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling is where people come to solve problems, grow, and change their lives in the direction that they think is best for them and their families. When people are stuck and they don't know how to stop certain behaviors, counseling can provide the skills they need to get them where they want to go in life.
