ABIGAIL ROSS, BS
Counseling Intern
Hi, I'm Abigail Ross, a clinical mental health counseling intern. I am passionate about helping people grow and thrive! I strive to create a warm, accepting environment where every client feels safe, seen, heard, and supported as they pursue meaningful growth.
I work with children through child-centered play therapy, which recognizes play as their primary way of communicating and processing feelings. My role is to be present for them, to see them, to listen, and to care.
For teens and adults, my main approach is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning I believe that clients know themselves best and possess the strengths necessary for growth. I also integrate other theories, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and integrated family systems (IFS), to meet each client's specific needs.

A Little About Me…
I enjoy being a dog mom to my husky, Winter. We take many walks where we watch squirrels, birds, and bunnies. In my free time, I ski, mountain bike, hike, kayak, visit the coast, cook, bake, and thrift.

Individual Counseling
Individual Counseling is where people come to solve problems, grow, and change their lives in the direction that they think is best for them and their families. When people are stuck and they don't know how to stop certain behaviors, counseling can provide the skills they need to get them where they want to go in life.

Play Therapy
Play therapy is an approach to counseling that was originally designed for use with children, and has shown to be beneficial for adolescents and adults as well. The basic principle of play therapy is that, due to development and minimal life experience, individuals are better able to express the things on their minds through the context of play.
